Human Rights, Labour Rights & Freedom from Forced Labour

Infotek Consulting is committed to fully implementing and supporting policies based on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at work. Specifically:

    • Forced labour – Infotek Consulting will not make any use of forced labour or knowingly purchase goods or supplies from suppliers that make use of forced labour.
    • Child labour – Infotek Consulting will not make any use of child labour or knowingly purchase goods or supplies from suppliers that make use of child labour.
    • Freedom of association and collective bargaining – Infotek Consulting supports the rights of its employees to be able to join trade union or associations that are independent of government and employer influence and bargain collectively through those organizations.
    • Working hours, benefits and wages – Infotek Consulting believe in setting reasonable working hours and providing market appropriate benefits and wages. It full supports and will follow all labour laws in the jurisdictions in which it conducts business.
    • Paid leave – Infotek Consulting provides paid leave to at least the level mandated by law in the jurisdictions in which it conducts business.
    • Infotek Consulting will encourage its suppliers and customers to also support and implement these principles.

Right to Disconnect

Infotek Consulting respects the need for staff to “disconnect” from work and encourages pursuit of a health work / life balance. However, it is also important to recognize that we are a service business with two sets of clients – the companies who request placements from us and the consultants that we place. As such, it may be most effective for resource and account managers to contact or respond to clients or consultants outside of the 8:00 – 6:00 Monday to Friday extended business day.
